Hi everyone! I'm new here, just started poking around, and I figured I'd introduce my little flock to everyone!
This is Razzle Dazzle, Raz for short. She's about 3 years old and can be the meanest little thing sometimes! When she was a baby she slept with me under my neck at night, and now she'd rather attack my feet then get close, lol. Oh well, she's still cute!
This is Riva, Razzy's "sister". They grew up together in my room. While Razzy slept with me on the bed, Riva slept... somewhere? I never really knew, she liked to be up high, or hidden behind stuff. She got them kicked out of the house when she jumped onto the bookcase next to my door and scared my mom when she came in... I warned her the chickens were out...
This is Raya and she's 2 years old. She was raised with my at that time 3 month old Mini Australian Shepherd, so she's a bit of a brat! She thinks she can take on anyone and anything and is the queen. She has to stay penned up now after she attacked a german shepherd... He deserved it though he was growling at her!!
Handsome Ransom is annoyingly loud all day, every day. But if he gives me some baby chicks this year, i guess he can stay... Locked up where he can't keep "playing" with kids who walk by.
Renni Penni is a Cochin who was born in September 2010. I'm hoping she decides to be really broody since none of my other hens will sit on eggs. That's the only reason I got her (not that I needed a reason to get another of course...) She's very sweet and I'm hoping she stays that way.
Ryder was suppose to be a girl, nope. Ryder started crowing- or trying to crow!- at a couple weeks old. He was also born September 2010. He's pretty cool though either way. He's very calm and so easy going, he sleeps on his back in my arms! I really hope he stays nice and doesn't learn things from Ransom.
And last but not least...
Foxie Roxie! She's a very old looking Rhode Island Red hen who wandered in summer of 2009 and decided this was her new home. She has NEVER left the cage, even when I let everyone out. This is her new home and she's not leaving! lol. She has a deformed leg that looks like it was broken at one point at healed wrong, but she's actually the nicest chicken out of them all. I'm glad she decided to come live with us!!
