Meet my Easter Egger flock

Jody, is this the girls and the fella that those fabulous blue eggs came from that you sent me? Those eggs you sent were the biggest and bluest eggs I have ever seen....I can only hope they will hatch to be as gorgeous as your EE crew.

Yes halo. This is the group. I knew you would be interested in seeing the parents and all the color possibilities. They do give some gorgeous blue eggs and wonderful fluffy faced chicks as well. You can see Oreo is doing his job. lol Fingers crossed for chicks for you soon.

Sylvia - will try to get new silkie pics soon as well. I have two great flocks of them and they are really perty.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. We love these guys and they are so much fun to raise.

They are beautiful, as are all your birds!

What lovely birds!

My one EE roo I kept looks similar to Oreo. Poor guy hardly comes down from the roost though, 'cause my Buff Brahma roo Rudy is just after him constantly.

I really like the blue coloring like Slate has...all my EE hens are that normal brown color. I have 4 more on my next order...kind of hoping for something different, but since it's the same hatchery I'm not to hopeful, lol.

Oh Jody, I was some of your EE eggs to hatch!! I don't have any blue layers, just green, brown, and lt. brown!!

Thanks all!

Brahma - I know what you mean about the typical brown color. I love the different color possibilities and it's a lot of fun working with them. I hope your shy boy comes around...they are usually very active birds.

horsewishr - just one

Oh, I think you will find you'll need lots more than 1. They are so cute and open personality birds. I'd bet you'll be looking for more after you see what I mean.

cherndon - I don't think any farm is complete until you've got some blue and green eggs from your chickens.

They are beautiful birds aren't they! And yes, they are like potato chips, once you have one...

My oldest son persuaded me to get some, on my first order, after seeing the picture of the colored eggs in the Welp's catalog. I am so glad he did

This order I have coming on February has 4 more...and I'm sure subsequent orders will also have a few, I totally agree that they complete your farm and egg basket

Wow!! They are gorgeous!! I have one of those blue ones, the rest brown.... They are 12 weeks, so not laying yet. I thought I ordered a roo, but did not get one(probably a good thing). Where did yours come from?
