Hi guys, sorry I've not updated this thread for a while, obviously Bonnie and Clyde are quite a bit bigger now so here's some more photos of them for you to have a look at.
To answer your questions, I'm not sure how rare they are in the US but although there are a few here in the UK they are not common!!! They are friendly but quite skittish, they always come to see what you're doing though and if you've got any food they'll be your best buddy!!! Oh and it is spinach leaves floating in their water!!!

They are very pretty! Especially now they are older and thier beaks are more proportional to the rest of thier body. But they are very cute!
