Meet my new betta! (pics)

Meet the new betta fish I bought today! I named him Alpha.

He's a young half moon betta. I've never had one of those before, so I am excited to see how he develops! The pictures I took don't show his true colors. He is iridescent blue with red accents on his fins. I hope he lives just as long as my other! I also bought him a new tank and a new heater for the tank.





And here is the new 2.5 gallon tank I got him. I decorated it with a Spongebob theme. I may be an adult, but I still love that cartoon! It was also just too cute to pass up. Who DOESN'T want a pineapple house??

My guy has been flaring a lot today because of the new surroundings. He's starting to relax though. The tank is so new and shiny, I don't think he'll need a mirror for me to see him flare!

Chickerdoodle13 - THANK you for keeping your beta in an actual tank with proper heat and water flow. It's important to their happiness as fish. Sure they can live in a tiny bowl (we can live in cardboard boxes) - that doesn't mean they should. He's probably one of THE happiest bettas ever, and definitely a beauty! Congrats.
