Meet Polly - the Pirate Chicken :) *Update on page 6!*

She is such a little sweetie face, that's all I saw. It took a couple more looks till I noticed the cross beak, and another glance before I noticed the missing eye. I really mean it, she looks like such a precious little doll you don't focus on anything else.

Both the chick and the older one are beautiful and sweet. I'm so thankful that there are compassionate people like yourselves who know that love is unconditional.

She cheeps and comes running whenever I call her name. She loves playing with the banties and seems to be leading a pretty normal chick life for now!

awesome a pirate chick. for her crossed beak i recommend dissolving some calium tablets in hot water and cooling the water down and using it in her feed. it allows the beek the go nore straigt. Make sure it doenst have iron in it tho !

My EE is also a year old. She is bigger than her sister EE! She does stand at the feeder much longer, and does treats and grazing less, but she gets plenty of nutrition at the feeder! I have a homemade feeder w/a 5 gallon bucket and planter base. I also have a galvanized hanging feeder...she likes the homemade one better. I think it is because there is more room from lip of planter base to the bucket. She is a really good layer - usually 5-6 eggs a week! She did stop this winter the day another sister EE was killed by a hawk on 12/27, then did not lay again until March. But she is back to 5-6 eggs a week:)

She totally reminds me of Hatchetface from Crybaby....anyone else remember her?
