I had been wanting to get a mate for SweePea my imprinted 2014 Purple peachick, so I adopted a pair of Purple Black Shoulders and their 2014 hatch son and daughter. The cock is also Spaulding and was raised from an egg that came from Deerman (Burt) from our forum here at BYC. The hen was raised by Deerman and is a few months older than the cock.

Silver Queen checking out the new talent.

Dad and sonny boy.

Mother and daughter.

Momma still covers them at night!

What a lovely family, and a great addition to your bigger pea family!

I'm sure that Deerman would be very pleased to know these guys were in such a good home.

I've tried searching that and there's was nothing that I could find. Or at least for show because when you have standards usually it involves show or something sport like, like Roller Pigeons have to tumble or roll to be the ideal Roller pigeon doesn't matter on their appearance. Another would be the an Indian Runner duck must have a standing straight up appearance as well as be really thin. Peafowl aren't really shown. People in Idaho were thinking it was funny seeing a boy walking around with a peahen on his arm and that he was brave enough she wouldn't try to fly away and destroy things and being quiet. Me and Thora became well known for people around Idaho.
New2, do you know if there is anything like a Standard of Perfection for peafowl?

I'm going to make a thread on that topic that way us pea people can come up with a standard even though it wouldn't be an official unless we sent it to some one to get it official but it still might be fun if there's not already a peafowl standard.
