Meet the "Warlander" a new fad breed of horse

Not sure, but I had heard that it was PineHaven farms where the guy was falsifying papers and breedings, using Saddlebred stallions but claiming they were Morgan and lying on the papers, etc...

Which is just a few counties away from me.

I was showing at a US horse show, where one of that Stud's foal was showing. Looked like a freakin Saddlebred.

Shortly afterwards the poo hit the fan and I got this email regarding that Morgan Stud's lineage.
I'll send the info to you.
Its a sad tale, for the breed and especially for the Stud.

Hahahahaha...I know various Friesian / Andalusian crosses...I'll have to let their owners know that they have "Warlanders". There's a sweet mare at the stable I ride at that is a Friesian Andalusian cross. She's got a baby at her side from a Friesian sire. I'll have to take a closer look at the two of them. To my ignorant eye they just register as "ooo...purty black horse".

Warlanders...well, at least they didn't come up with a name like schnoodles or labradoodles...

After wading through all the posts I think your signature pretty much sums it all up... Just depends on which side of the transaction you want to be on when it comes to crossing anything popular Being involved with Andalusians in all their political lines since the early 80's I pretty much have seen it all. Now I am happy to trail ride and enjoy my Andalusians for the reason I have them.. they make me happy.

I think there was a fellow in TX who did the same thing but it was with a mare, his morgan mare died, so he found a saddlebred with the nearly exact same markings, and bred her numerous times..
her offspring won BIG.. it finally hit the fan, and they gelded all the stallions, barred the mare's offspring and grand offspring.. and I think they allowed the great grand offspring to continue showing but couldn't stand any stallions from the mare's side.
WOW....

Holy moly not another one ! Why don't these people just breed Saddlebreds???

The one I heard about was mostly in Florida and around the East Coast. I don't feel it is right to post the entire email as it contains lots of names and I am sure some of those people are still around.

All I can say is thank goodness for mandatory DNA for some registries. I would like to see them go back as far as they can. Not just one generation. Suspicious things can hide in the second generation. I know of a few
