Meet Trouble

I have had several solid black cats. One named Spooky, that we found on the side of the road in the Everglades. When the cat was still growing at two years old, my vet confirmed my suspicions that Spooky wasn't pure domestic cat.

My last solid black one, DC, was a former feral and a jewelry thief. Everybody swore that DC stood for something that I can't post on this forum, but it actually stood for demon child.
Yours is pretty.

I didn't even THINK about the tree this year. Oh dear!

uhmmmmm........ what its this thing you call a christmas tree????

Haven't had one up in over 10 years because of the cats. Topaz perched in them. Yoda chewed on the live wires for the lights

No tree since. Unless it's the wooden tree. So far it's cat resistant though I'm not wanting to test it around Nod........ Not real sure what he'll try with it.

My sister solved that problem with her two rambunctious cats. She bought an artificial tree and cut the the center pole in half. Then she hung half the tree on the wall and decorated.
I'll see if I can find the pic of my christmas tree I hung on the wall when I had DC.

My cats pretty much ignore my Christmas tree and always have (I've had these cats from tiny kittens). I haven't done anything to train them. Trees just don't set their hearts aquiver.

But Pywacket (and his sister Pandora) completely trash any tree. Pywacket has gone as far as to climb to the top and headbutt the angel off the tree. All ornaments are removed and played with. For a while my mother tried cloth ornaments so they couldn't be broken. Yeah. The cats pulled them off and "killed" them.

So no trees for my parents.

How cute! Xmas trees and kitties are a BAD combo! As a teenager, I had a cat that would climb the trunk to get any ornament within paws reach. Now, DH and I have a small 3 foot tree that we put on top of a narrow table with little room for the cat. It'll suffice since a bigger tree is not an option in this household (the dogs would probably try to knock it over!).

Low hanging ornaments are just put there for kitties, don't ya know? And that pretty, soft, velvety, red tree skirt is just the place for a long haired gray kitty to sleep. And it slides so beautifully when you want to play with it.

My favorite cat was black: he fetched, rode in the car with me, slept on top the bathroom door and ate cantalope. He was a fun kitty, but he got FeLeuk from mommy and only made it a year.

Why do black cats just seem to have more personality than other cats?

Pretty Kitty, Deb.

Well this black cat has more personality than all of other cats, past and present, combined!!!! You should have seen him flying four feet in the air trying to catch that paper towel!!
