Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.

This is my first time sending a message to BYC!!!! We got our 2 girls in August and they have become lovely pets.... It is funny to think of life without them now! They are such good pets for children - My 6 year old daughter came running into the house yesterday and said " Mummy, come quickly! The chickens are melting."
YIKES!! I dashed down the garden (these legs have not produced such speed for 20 years!) to find that Jess had noticed the chickens were moulting!
