Yep....hellooooo Missouri!!I'm new here, but I would like to see where everyone lives. I agree that it should be each person's choice, but wish more would make that choice. Now that I've said that, I hope mine shows - I honestly haven't noticed.![]()
It would just be so much easier knowing at least their state/country when answering questions, problems, help! posts, etc. I'm hoping that more members would at least do that much....we'll see....sigh....So maybe we should see if we can get more people to come over to the "location darkside"!
Yeah I am the same way, not much harm in putting a general region and hiding behind a made up name.@iwiw60 I agree. Not mandatory at all, but common courtesy to get accurate info for your region. No need to get specific. I'm a privacy advocate and I listed my state.
YEP!! I've long been an advocate of members at the very least putting their state and/or country....something! in their signature blocks. That way when we want to respond to someone's call for help we can better answer their questions.Well, I hate to use the word mandatory, but when the thread is about winterizing for an example, someone in Georgia's ideas wouldn't work, say, in Wisconsin. And if you don't know where the person is from, how can you help?
I have belonged to a MC forum for years, and in your profile, you list where you live, age, birthday, etc. But you choose if the public/members see what you want them to see about you, or nothing at all, only the moderators.
But---- in every post on a thread, your state flag is there.
I think that would be very helpful here.
