Members Pages - now I have ?'s

Hello Every one,
I have not taken a peek over here in a long time..
Its really building up with members now.
I love the members page idea and want to work on
one for me.. I would like to see others that have
built indepth pages. So post yours here to show off
a little bit. I would love to see them.

Any one know if its possible to put a background on my page
and how to do it? I either want a back ground or to frame in
my content.

HI MELANIE!

I just made a personal page! I also think its a great idea!!! .... I put the link for it in my signature, but it would be good if it was on the left side with our email and web site addys.

For a colored background (I used black) or image background, use the table button on the 3rd row of tools..... then put all your content inside the table.

Well I thought that sounded simple so I made a simple content box/frame and could not figure out how to get my ifo into it, and I lost everything. IT kept posting it above or below the box... I also tried to just copy and paste the info into it and it kept showing up as html code.

OK I DID IT... CHECK OUT WHAT I GOT SO FAR.
KAT - I LOVE YOUR PAGE. And I also wish there was a clickable link
next to the email and web page buttons

ohhhh

it can be frustrating.

make the table about 600-700 px wide 1 colum and 1 row. play around with border size and color as well as cell padding.....then when you are happy with how the background and border looks, click inside the table and start adding all your content inside the table.

Also when you save make sure you dont hit the blank page icon beside the save icon (I found that out the hard way ) ;-) it cleared everything!

Mine is nothing special.. but u can take a look at it.
I really need to put some time aside to make mine look better. I got some new pictures I need to post yet too!

HEY KAT - What code did you use to put your mypage link in your signiture. The one I usually use don't work.

I might have to email it to you because I cant write code on this site without it turning into real html.

Go to where you add your signature
on the BBcode list where it shows links and images
use the first url code
change the address to your address
then
change the text in the middle of the code from BackYardChickens Forum to
My Personal Page
