Memorial Day Weekend BYC Bash

We got to 60° today. Supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow. My little town is celebrating our Founder's Day this weekend and 150 years of being a village, 200 years as a township. There are celebrations going on all over town, including an unveiling of a new statue in the town circle. A semi truck ran into the statue a few years ago and it's finally being replaced. It's a statue of a Civil War soldier. It used to face north but then someone said that you should never have your back to your enemy so it was turned around and faces south now

Look. I'm normally not one to brag, but I just killed it with the ribs. This is gonna be a good long weekend.

Wanted to do some gardening but the rain and cold kept saying I should stay inside. Bought a fishing license for later use, went to the mall looking to take advantage of all the clothing sales for some new summer stuff but having trouble finding stuff I like in my size. Who decided that it should be fashionable for shorts and jeans to look like they got dragged behind a car for several miles before they made it to the rack??? Most of mine already look like that, that’s why I’m looking for new ones!

I now have a new business idea. Go find all of the torn up pants I can and resell the pants as being a new eco-friendly trend.

I said NO! DW talked about a Barbeque. Spends 2 days prepping, setting up, 15 minutes to eat and 2 days clean up. NO, you're not a SPRING CHICKEN anymore and you go overboard, again NO! I finally won one. But the wk end just started, I think DW is actually relieved, but still a weak protest.

I said NO! So how come there are 24 Deviled Eggs, a big bowl of potato salad, onion dip, a large bag of chips that just appeared, 16 burgers made up, and 2 qts of cut up Strawberries for just two people? Plus DW has been on the phone with our daughter, her sister and my brothers DW, never all three on the same day. Total of 14 people, now the food numbers are starting to add up. I smell a rat! Waiting to hear I have to dig out the shoes and Corn Hole and can you (me) clean the grill. Don't come crying to me when you're totally exhausted! After 47 yrs you would think I would just keep quiet.

Don’t have one LOL I’m about to walk Brew. Will either walk him again or take him on the marsh later. Might possibly help my dad work on the boat in the meantime.
