I am trying to tell what I am dealing with. I am getting Merecks testing as soon as possible. I thought I was dealing with Vit b issues, had a hen go down, couldn't walk seemed like curly toe. Treated with B supplement and 3 days later she was up and about and seeming normal. I added poultry cell to everyones water and thought we had it figured out. Same hen has not made a full recovery 2 weeks post inital onset. Today I had another hen go down the same way. She was fine yesterday. Can Vit B supplemnts mask the presence of Merecks? Would vitamin supplement make a hen with Mereks seem to improve? Hens in question are 1yr old Wyandottes. Not vaccinated. Does Merecks come on suddenly?

I would use human super b complex 1/2 tab orally for the riboflavin deficiency. What type of feed are you using, and it is pretty fresh? Do you give them other foods which might alter the vitamins and nutrients in the feed?

I am giving human liquid super b. I Just finished a layer feed from Nutrena. Nutriwise I belive. A 40 lb bag lasts less than a month from time of opening. Treats are meal worms once a week, 1cup split between 10 hens. Lettuce sometimes. some grass clippings ( not from lawn). Any treats are less than once a week. Edit I just compared the labels on the b tablets vs the liquid I'm giving, looks like tabs have about 20mg of ribflavin vs 1.7 mg in the liquid. SMH. Looks like I haven't been giving nearly what I thought I was.
