Swollen eye

A rooster with a swollen eye. It looks like if you were to have some allergy reaction to Something. Is there anything I can give him or do to maybe stopped the swelling?

Children's benadryl can be given, but I do not know the dosage. Perhaps someone else will know. You can also put terramycin (or non-pain relieving type of triple antibiotic ointment) into the eye to sooth the irriation.

Has he been fighting with another rooster? I would flush the eye with saline and apply either plain neosporin or Terramycin eye ointment twice a day.
