So I think my rooster has Mereks disease!
Symptoms:
Lame leg,
poopy green butt,
wing kinda droopy.
these are his symptoms, none of my other chickens have it. I'm really scared because I have forty chickens (not altogether (layers in one coop, pets in the other.)) and they are my life. I live and breath them, there hasn't been one day that I haven't hugged and kissed my chickens, losing them would be as bad as losing a family member (I've never talked about this before but, when my great grandma died a few years ago I didn't cry, but whenever I lose a chicken - I cry my eyes out) and I can't bear eradicating my flock -- Athena's wattle could never be replicated, Gunter's diva could never be replaced, Georgia's honks could never be found in even a goose! so please help! I've heard of St. Johns wort, should I try it and what exactly are doses? everything on that thread is all jumbled.
