Merging Flock Questions

It was a wild bird trying to fly for the first time that landed in the coop. He tried to kill it and feed it to his ladies.

A wild baby bird is not the same as a chick that's slowly introduced to the flock (and yes chickens have killed and eaten wild birds).

My coop is set up to easily support 8 chickens and 12 at the max.

How big is that in feet by feet?
Dimensions and pics would help immensely here.

I brood chicks in coop with a heater behind a wire wall from about a week after hatch.
They are fully with the flock by about 6 weeks.
It works great but takes some effort to get it all set up.
