Merricks???

I have a hen who is a year old. She started standing on one foot about 5 months ago. I took her to the vet and was told she may have Merricks. Now she spends much time sitting instead of walking around or standing upright. She stopped laying eggs about 6 weeks ago. She has an appetite and otherwise seems normal. She is pretty mean but always has been. I also have two other hens that show no similur signs.

Could she have Merricks that is taking much longer to progress or something else?

Marek's disease will either kill them or they suffer for a while and get better.

Can you take a video of her and upload it to YouTube?

Can you also get a few clear photos of both eyes?

Can you post some photos of her?
Any swelling of the abdomen?
When she was in lay, were her eggs normal?

Welcome to BYC. Marek's could cause this, but another possibility would be a vitamin or mineral deficiency. Where do you live and what type of food has she been eating?
