How do people know when they get private messages? I just checked mine and there were two from months ago that I didn't know about. Do I have to check them manually or is there something that tells me?

Look up at the top left under where it says

Logged in as and your screen name here

No. The forum is not set up to email you a notification.

It will not send you PM notifications.

It does email notices when a post has been made to a thread you have subscribed to.
