messy hen...

My uncle got rid of his chickens recently and gave me their feeder. I was so happy as it is one of those metal wall feeders Tha cost 50 bucks at our local feed store. I fixed it up and sat it up just high enough for my hens to reach it but one of my he's likes to be a slob and still manages to rake the feed all over the floor... Any suggestions?

But she is so cute. I know the big feeder, similar to this one, they still beak it all over. Sorry don't have a real answer, just wanted to let you know it isn't just yours.

Chickens love to bill out feed.
Put some kind of pan under it to catch the feed and they can then eat some out of there or you can dump it back in.

Thanks, yeah she is my friendliest hen too. And a loud complainer. I guess I should be lucky that its only her and not all the hens that are messy .
