Messy water with ducklings

I made a thing to let the water fall into a cookie sheet with some plastic on top so the wood chips don’t get soggy all the time. Last year it was a constant changing of the bedding. Seems to be working good so far. Has anyone ever tried anything like that?

I use these less spill containers I make. They can dunk their heads...

So many good ideas! When mine were babies I tried everything under the sun, but could never get it quite right. I ended up changing their bedding at least 4 times a day because they would ALWAYS spill their water.

It’s a small cookie sheet and plastic for on top of the rain gutters to keep leaves

Yes this is Great for ducklings good job! I had DH build me a platform covered in hardware cloth when i had adult ducks it allowed the pool to drain out of the pen and much less mud in the pen.
