Hello. I’m considering getting this metal shed and converting it into a coop. Do any of you have a set up like this? I’m concerned that it will turn into an oven. Besides cutting more ventilation into it, does anyone have other conversion ideas I would need to make? Thanks

Maaaaybe if you were right on the Bay, it might be cool enough. (I remember having to fight the temptation to turn on the heat in July.) But I wouldn't risk it.

Agree with Dobie; look for a wooden shed. They're also a lot simpler to work with when modifying into a shed (cutting holes, attaching roosts, etc.)

Near bay area too and I just bought metal shed too. It gets much hotter here than by water. I plan to put under tree or nearby, really good ventilation, you can paint roof white, insulated the inside to help control temp. It is definitely possible and people use in other much hotter places.
