You know, I started by watching this roofing forum, and ended up in a forum about chicken poop! So, I didn't sway too far off did I? Go with the flex seal, for now!

I'm going to continue cutting my vent holes larger and pick up more cans.

I can see it having some insulative properties, but don't think it will overcome certain conditions completely.

I absolutely see where you are coming from, it is a thin layer of rubber on cold metal. I am still going to cut the styrofoam sheets too.

And all this leg wetting advice I give, comes from a guy who has a hen in his room, in an animal carrier. Worried that my hen is sick, and badly molting... no feathers. I'm keeping her inside where it's warm. Because the Bible says "Do unto others as you would have done unto you" I would want to be warm and comfortable.

But it's not completely conductive like the metal. Also, its organic I think, if so it might have enough water phobic behavior to discourage condensation.

Our temperature is supposed to drop tonight, but so far it is not conducting any mosture.
