Metal roof and black mesh?

Where does everyone get their black 1/2 wire mesh? Its all special order and very expensive. Same with black metal roof panels.

I don't. I just used hot dip galvanized HC and bout it on Amazon in 2019.

Painting it black causes it to virtually disappear as opposed to having the silver sheen always present. Would guess that it would also add extra protection from rust.

It's hard to paint galvanized metal and mine isn't shiny at all. It's a dull gray. Besides, once the chickens and spiders get done with it, it will be covered in dust and cobwebs.

Paint roller. No harder than painting a wall. Black is easier to see through than gray, shiny or not. I don't think the chickens care; some people do, some don't.

IMO black does look "nicer" because it disappears against most backgrounds, but I don't know if I'd spring for the extra cost. Maybe in the future, if money was no object.
