Hello! I am planning for my first chickens (probably will get them early spring 2021). So I have this old metal shed and a perfect spot for a run and everything. This year I planted a peach tree which will take a few years before it provides much shade. I live in the high desert and temps can reach 100 in the summer. I am concerned that the shed is in the sun most all day and would get too hot. I actually was thinking about getting an EZ up to place over the shed for more shade. Is that silly or not a good idea? I don't want to start with square one determining a location and figuring out how to build a coop, but I don't want the chickens in tooo much heat.
any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
