METALIC/ODD TASTE IN HENS EGGS

As anyone had this problem - I feed the Hens on rolled oats and layers pellets and keep getting odd tasting eggs. The eggs are collected daily. I have treated the coops and the box I sell the eggs from approx 2 months ago would that cause a problem?

Do they free range at all? Do you give them any household scraps? If yes to either one it could be something in that. Maybe wild onions if you free range them.

YES THEY DO FREE RANGE AND HAVE VEGETABLE PELLINGS, LETTICE AND CABAGE BITS BUT THERE ARE NO WILD ONIONS IN THIS AREA?
