That has to be one of the most horrible things I have ever heard. And, it borders on animal abuse. I suggest you keep your methods to yourself. I really doubt you will find ANYONE on this forum who will agree with your methods.

No matter what method ......everyone will have their opinions. Guess we should all do what is right for us !

I have a friend who provides rabbits for a zoo to feed to their birds of prey, therefore they do not want any blood externally on the animals so the traditional method of harvesting rabbits is out. He has rigged up an ice chest that has a hose attached to the drain spout with the other end attached to a smalled lunch box size chest. The rabbits to be euthanized are placed in the bigger chest and dried ice is placed in the smaller chest. Warm water is poured over the dried ice which creates a gas that then slowly puts the rabbits to sleep. The rabbits stay very calm through the whole process (they are in a darkened place) and it is all very quick and painless.

I'm sorry, but this is horrible and uncalled for. Even if money for a vet to euthanize isn't an option, there are other, more humane option to go about culling chicks. The chicks feel pain just as any other living creature. “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated” -Gandhi

So, if I think starving my deformed chick to death is right for me because I don't have the heart to kill it myself...what...No big deal, because everyone will have their opinion... Give me a break. Flushing a chick is ridiculous on so many levels. I'd love to call the plumber for that one. Yeah, my toilet's backed up, Why?...oh, I was culling chicks...

Maybe sticking it in the microwave is right for me, opinions?

I seriously hope no one decides to flush a chick down the toilet. After that suggestion, one I can truthfully say I have never even heard, nothing was going to fix this thread, I'm afraid. There are numerous threads on euthanizing birds here on BYC with much discussion of the most humane methods. It's never an easy decision or task. What works well for a newly hatched deformed chick or non-responsive older bird may not work for a mostly healthy, strong, but badly injured bird.
