I was able to contact Metzer Farms showing them the picture. The top of the bill could in fact be an injury gotten in shipping. But that doesn't negate the bottom bill jutting out, out of place. So I was told I could either have them ship me another gosling plus a duckling friend for the ride. Or a refund. I told them that was above and beyond what they had to do. That a refund would be fine and just credit my next order. I will keep ordering from them in the future.
Time will tell how this baby will turn out, but the company told me they feel it will continue to worsen so that she won't be able to eat well. As of right now it's not a problem. But if it does start to get bad for her I'll put her down. I'm going to remain optimistic and hope that she can still eat enough to live a fairly normal life for the summer and then butcher in the fall.
So kudos to Metzer Farms for wanting to go above and beyond just a refund. But willing to be out another shipment, as we all know shipping is NOT cheap, in getting me a replacement.
