What can you all tell me about this hatchery?

I have not ever ordered ducks before and though I do have someone local that will sell me a few Muscovy in a coming months, I can't find any local Runners or Khaki Campbells.
I have ordered chicks many times but not from this hatchery. I just want layers, I'm not into showing them or eating them. The duck eggs will hopefully sell as well as those chicken eggs.

I ordered runner eggs from Metzer hatchery and incubated them. I was real happy. They were packed well - 7 out of 8 hatched. I like my runners - they hatched the end of July and are already laying - They are not show quality, but beautiful, healthy birds.

I have three runners, a goose, and two 3 week old welsh harlequins from Metzers. I'm happy with all of fowl I've ordered from them, and their customer service is excellent.

That is very good to know. If I can't find them local I will have to order.
I don't mind, I just don't want to get into another situation with a hatchery that is not very good. Had my share of those.
Metzer looks good and isn't as pricey as some of the others but I haven't added shipping so I could get into the same price range I would like to avoid.

Shipping can get kind of high depending on your location. They have a page that covers ordering: http://www.metzerfarms.com/order.htm

    I
ordered 7 Welsh Harlequins and 3 Golden 300s from Metzers. They sent an extra female that looks to be growing into a production fawn runner and I lost one female WH, so it evened out well. I had my order sexed and of the 6 birds I kept, the sexing is 100% accurate. I like the company but would order from Holderread's next time just to get better quality WHs. I will say I really, really like the Goldens so far. Lively, observant, pretty ducks that I hope will give me some nice eggs.

Kinda off topic but Ideal is having a really great sale on ducks right now. Only $1.60 each! I have never ordered from them but have heard good things. They may or may not have the ducks you are looking for at that price but is worth a try.

my ducklings are from Metzers. You can see pics of them at the links in my sig.

I had them shipped to Chicago last month when it was really cold. They were shipped with 5 additional ducklings which we gave away and all of them arrived safe and sound (I paid extra for a heat pack to be shipped with them)

I ordered 10 Golden 300 Hybrid ducks back in spring 2003 and kept 4 (shared the rest with friends). Three are still healthy and happy though they don't lay many eggs anymore. Metzer's was very good to deal with and John was especially helpful to this (then) newbie who had absolutely no experience with ducks.

My Pekin is from Metzers. I picked her up from there the day she hatched. The people working there were really nice and everything looked clean. The birds looked well taken care of.

    She is beautiful...but I'm a little biased
