Thank you. Don’t get me wrong, I do think my girls are beautiful. They just have more color then they should; they should have more white over all. I will add that they are very sweet and calm.

@cottontail farm - just to show you my girls and drakes though it's a bad angle as I have the sun behind them so lots of shadows.

So in the 2nd pic, 1st hen is Apple (gold) while the other 2 behind her are Ms Quackers and Little Girl (silvers). Most of the boys are silvers and I ccan't figure out who Brave (gold) is. Too dark.

Attu, in the front, is a WH from Metzer from 2013.
Cadbury, in the middle, is a chocolate runner from 2010, she's mostly white now.
Kodiak is a blue runner from 2013.

We bought two females 3 months ago from Metzer for my very small backyard flock. They sent one silver and one golden!! The golden was so so beautiful but just got killed by a neighborhood fox last week We are going to get another for her lonely sister. Here she is. Shes also very pretty just not as delicate as the other we lost.

Am sorry for your loss. I totally understand where you're coming from! There's something about Apple and Brie, my 2 gold girls....I think it's gotta be the coloring on their cheeks and they just seem to be so flirty. I would pause more often just to admire them.... But the silvers are just a adorable - love that flash of blue-aquamarine on their wings!

I, too, love that blue flash on the wings. I have always called that color, "beetle blue." In the sunlight, it pops out just as metal would.
