Mexican "Costa Rican" Bantams

UPDATE: This pair is around 8 months old or so...I have 15 eggs hatching under a broody right this minute:D
I've decided to free range these guys and the white hen laid 8 eggs and is ALSO sitting on them...So that's 23 white chickies if all goes right.

Here's a picture I took of the pair the day before I free ranged them....

I will post pictures of their chicks later today!

Now there's 4 and we have another pip...All are yellow colored with a faint brown chipmunk stripe on their head only...

Well in the end we only got a 4/15 hatch and one chick died shortly after it was born :l

So that leaves me with 3 chicks...Looks like I have 2 pyles and one white! :D

Here is my young pair of pyle "Costa Rican" Bantams. Funny thing, I'm not sure why bantams are called Costa Ricans here. ALL bantams are called costa ricans. Naked necks, soft feathered, hard feathered, just slighty smaller than standard size chickens, they're all costa ricans.

that´s because Costa Ricans are shorter than average people...
