Meyer Hatchers now selling BC Marans and Penedesencas

The cat's out of the bag about Marans. Meyer has chicks for $5.88 each now. No pictures of egg color or listings of what bloodlines they are from, but this I am sure will put a damper on e-bay egg bidding for these birds now. They have BC, Blue Splash, Golden Cuckoo, and White. They have Partridge Penedesencas too.

I can hardly imagine them having Penedesencas. I saw them in their catalog. Hatcheries practically never have rare breeds. I wonder where they got them.

I just called Meyer's to ask about their Barnevelders. They were able to give me quite a bit of information, including what breeders they have sourced from, and also typical egg color. They were very willing to share this information. It was a nice surprise!

I added a tri of BCM to a friends order..he just talked with Meyers and the earliest available hatch date is July 22nd...sold out til then
