My BO's are comparable in size to Barred Rocks, but have a much nicer temperament.

BOs are just normal size birds.
I remember burlap as sacks that were used to contain grain and it was also used for laying over newly seeded grass beds to retain moisture and hold the seed and soil in place.
most feed and hardware stores have rolls of it.
