Yes I has a wellsummer whose first egg was Speckled. Then all were dark brown. I had a BCM who normally laid dark brown but laid one purple.

I know the feeling -_-The hen with out feather feet decided she was going to go broody after one month of laying.

is your Broody Ameraucana as peck-y as mine was? >.> she would go to the first nest she saw with an egg in it (or... what looked like an egg) I had to keep moving her over to her nest and collect eggs early.
