Meyer hatchery, anyone ever ordered from them?

Meyer is about 1.5 hours from my home, I ordered 5 17 week old Barred Rock Pullets from them, I picked them up last Saturday. Aside from being what I consider small for 17 weeks, they seem fine. The people there were very nice. We also bought their 10 hole roll out next box, because they were the cheapest price online and of course picking it up we paid no shipping.

My Chicks jsut got here from meyer today and are all large an healthy and were only a gorup of 8 the EE's are HUGE. will post pics soon.

I ordered my chicks through them during the spring. In a couple of days they will be 20 weeks old. I ordered RIR, SLW, Australorps and Barred Rocks.

All the chicks arrived quickly, were healthy, vigorous, and quick to eat and drink. I had no fatalities, one of the SLW ended up being a Roo, but that is within the 95% guarantee. I had one or two that suffered from pasty butt, but it cleared up quickly.

I've been blessed with my first pullet started to lay at 17 weeks old, and by 19 weeks old I believe there are 6 out of 10 laying.

Meyer's customer service is great too, so all around I've had a good experience with them. The only reason I'd go to another hatchery is to buy a breed that meyer didn't carry.

Ordered 33 chicks from Meyer. Lost one in shipping (blue Silkie) other then that everyone is healthy and almost 4 months old. Only thing I'm not so sure about is that our 5 Delawares are Delawares. I'm thinking White Rocks. Customer Service great and chicks arrived very quickly.
