Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

That sucks you have that many chickens and are only getting 1-2 eggs a day! I asked for the egg skelter for xmas. I hope I get it. It will look so much nicer than egg cartons on the counter. I think I need two though because we like to keep the bantam eggs separate. (fyi, I found Meyer has the cheapest price on these)

I'll be home tomorrow morning so I'll try to get some good pics of the girls.

It is SO HARD to not get some eggs now for my incubator. It is just sitting there taunting me! I would do some but I don't want chicks in the house for too long so it needs to be ok weather outside by the time they are 5 weeks old. Plus I want to build a new brooder for them and I don't have the room for both right now with my parents staying with us until the end of the year.

We got a couple eggsicles during our freeze but I didn't crack any open. We checked for eggs every couple hours and still got multiple frozen ones. So funny!

We had a high of 14*f today but with wind chill it was 4*f, my girls (& guys) are VERY thankful for their new heated waterer. The cold isn't slowing them down though, they gave me 26 eggs today :) and I still haven't got any eggs from my Buff Orps yet.

What beautiful ladies! I love how puffed up they are, they must have been so cold. Are all of them still laying?

You know its cold outside when...you check every few hours and find an eggcicle

Oh wow, I have not had one of these yet either. Just put a stick in it and you have a great protein filled frozen snack.

Wow, it was only in the 20's today but luckily no eggs like this!!
Oh what a shame you had to buy eggs. I have the 13 girls and get approx 6 a day. Sometimes 7 sometimes only 4. I'm still getting tons of feathers in the run/coop so some are still molting. I think my EE, BeeBee, is now molting. They look like her feathers but she doesn't look bare at all. But, sheesh, Mother Nature is really screwed up to have the chickens molt in 18 degree weather we're having.
I did get a 3.1 ounce egg yesterday! It was gorgeous but I don't know who laid it.
That's my BO, Big Mama, tons of yellow feathers everywhere, but she still looks full of them. Fortunately, it does not usually get real cold here for long. In the 20's at night but above freezing most of the day. Was your large egg a double yolker?

I didn't open it yet but I only got double yolkers when they were younger. Now if I get a big one it's just a regular egg. And my neighbors huge eggs were always single yolks.

Is anyone else having trouble with BYC website???

I think it's working for me, but I have not done much on it yet.
