Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

I got 2 EE and 2 Silkies today!!! One white and one, I guess, blue. I drove the boy crazy picking out the EE's LOL
I wanted the puffiest faces and not to light colored, but different looking from each other and green legs and on and on it went.

Brabanters should be in on Friday...

I didn't get individual pics of the Silkies yet. They are so small and kind of wobbly when they walk. I made sure to pick ones that were eating at the store but I'm not seeing them eat here yet. The EE's seem pretty good to go

So I decided to let them free range again and they are only nibbling on the weed in question so I'm sure it's ok. They just love it outside ... obviously. here are some pics from tonight... ... with my free ranging pup helpfully 'cleaning' up the poo And I forget who asked about the heated water set up but here are pics... first is the gutter system and it filters through a sophisticated system of soda bottle, mesh and fabric into a trash can the trashcan has the heater in it and the water goes through that tube through a hole in the run wall... and out this decorative ram head fountain that's hanging on the run wall ... It's pretty cool. I just flip a switch and the water turns on/off. There's some kind of pump in the trashcan as well. My DH set it up and I don't know exactly how it works but all I know is it's awesome!!
Those look like very happy chickens!! :)

Oh my goodness. I don't know if I've ever seen such fluffy faces! They are so adorable. I need more babies!!
I know... I kept looking for the fluffiest I could find. I think I got 'em!!

So cute! How tiny are the silkies? They look like there are half the size as the EEs. Very sweet!
They're pretty small. I was hoping they'd be a bit bigger. They make me nervous being so small. But, I have to remember to not get to attached because they are straight run.. could both be boys. They are only the size of the EE's bodies. But in my first batch my EE's were always the largest chicks.
My son named them Pat and Patty. LOL Kinda funny if anyone remembers the "Pat" routine from Saturday Night Live and since we don't know male/female it suits them.

Cheeper, can you take a seperate photo of each baby in the same lighting? Then we might able to narrow down who is who.

Roll call! As of 20 minutes ago:

Dominique--she's a little shy

Easter Egger- very active and curious

White Rock? the feathers give it away

Buff Orpington?

These last two are of the same chick--Meal Maker?

Very funny! If you really want to stay true to "It's Pat," his or her friend should be called "Chris"! LOL

I don't think those cheeks could get any fluffier! They are too cute!

I'm trying to arrange a pickup of some cream legbar eggs for our broody cochin this weekend. I'm surprised DH didn't freak out but he said it would be neat to watch her hatch and raise them.
I'm also trying to arrange a pickup of a silkie/EE chick. My daughter has always talked about this cross and was very excited with the possibility of getting one. I think it's about the same age as our other chicks so it should work out.
We really need to find a new place to live soon. We will be up to 20 chickens soon and we are only allowed 6!!! Luckily it says animals under 4 months of age don't count toward your limit. So we have a few months left. I never would've imagined chickens would be a reason to find a new house! lol
