Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Yes the light yellow does look similar to the Buff Chantecler! They are gorgeous birds!

They're here!!! Here are the best pics I got so far in trying to decipher breeds
Woo HOOO That was fast!!! Glad they all seem healthy!
I had a feeling they would arrive today because they went by air. I swear mine went the whole way by truck so it took 2 days to go one state away! Not Meyer fault though.

Is it possible one of the yellow could be buff Orpington?
3rd pic down looked like my RIR and yes, I'm guessing Buff Orp for one of the yellow chicks.

@autumnhearth I haven't noticed any new ones, but lots of new pics!

@pipdzipdnreadytogo I was thinking the same thing. The writeup for the dorkings says a creamy tinted egg. I am considering that it may be worth it. You've definitely added them to my list with those two cuties!! I did order one of the ex leghorns this year, but she didn't make it. I have to make a decision!!

Haha, they are precious! :D Good luck picking!

Sorry, I am not a geneticist. I have two blue, two black and one splash which an uninformed person like me might call white.

I definitely didn't mean to offend, so sorry if you took it that way! Just wanted to point that out. I'm not a geneticist, either, just very interested in chicken color genetics. :)

Pipd I forgot you have a Fayoumi!  My husband wants a flock of them one day!  But we live in the burbs on a small lot with low fences and a the girls spend most of the day in an enclosed run.  The flightiness worries me, but you say yours is easygoing?

I don't think they would do very well in that type of setting, honestly. I only have one and she's pretty easygoing, but she still is a bit of a wild child when she wants to be. I'm not sure if I would call her flighty so much, but probably not a bird for a small yard. She does best when she's able to free-range over our acreage (they never go very far, but she's usually one of the ones that goes the farthest).

Wow, that was fast! Congrats!!

I'm thinking dark yellow is a Golden Buff, as they tend to have stripes on their backs like this, but she could also be a buff Orp or Chantecler. Are her wing feathers white or buffish? If they are white, she's a Golden Buff, but if they are buffish she is the Orp or the Chantecler and you'll have to look at her comb to know which (Orps have single combs, which are the classic, flat and pointed comb; Chanteclers have cushion combs, which are just like a smooth bump, so on a chick you would look for a flat and smooth area).

The brownish amber one looks like either a Rhode Island red or a Buckeye, which again, you can tell by looking at her comb (RIRs are single combed; Buckeyes have pea combs, which are like the Ameraucana's comb, so you can compare).

The light yellow looks like a Delaware to me, although I see the possibility for Chantecler was discussed for this one as well. I have no idea on Chanteclers. If you can see the comb, though, that would help to ID this one. (Once again, Chanteclers have cushion combs, and Delawares have single combs.) :)

And, of course, if there are multiples, there's always the possibility of you having received some of different breeds that look similar as chicks! :D

Soooo.... my Silkie laid a total of 7 eggs over a 3 week time period and she's broody... LOL
maybe someday she can be a good mom? I thought I could get some fertilized eggs from the place I chicken sit for when they travel
but their whole flock got eaten. AGAIN. Two times this year. Oh well, she's just going to have to sit because I don't have the heart
to stick her in the broody cage in the cold. Off to take her out of the nest and plop her on the roost.
