All the cute! Your BLRW looks nice and dark on the head like a GLW, so she will hopefully be the coloring you want. I'm partial to the splashHere are the chicks I got today! Blue Laced Red Wyandotte:Olive Egger:
Rhode Island Red:
And here's what my brooder looks like now:
I was all set to give the new chicks names from the Waltons, like Erin and Elizabeth. And Olivia for the olive egger. But once I got them home, those names didn't seem to fit. So I'll wait to see what comes to mind. Autumnhearth, your hens are really beautiful! ( And I love fluffy chicken butt photos too.)
All the cute! They didn't object to the three little fluff balls being added?Let us know what you decide to name them.I'm open to suggestions for my sons White Rock, he's undecided. He picked her out to be a "snow chicken" so I've been looking at names that have winter and white connotations.I love the Welsummer on here named Nutmeg. My own Welsummer's name is Wendolene. It's funny, when I look at my Wellie Cornelia, I sometimes picture her as a Mabel or Pumpkin and see why/how you guys chose those names
I am sorely tempted to get a second one.![]()
