Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

I finaaly made it to the feed store on Saturday. Fortunately they had sold out of the Splash Marans the day before so I was forced to NOT bring home a mini-Frou Frou. Then on MPC (a.k.a. Meyer) all of the chicken breeds in my shopping cart were available for shipping on Monday, 27 April. Ack! It took every bit of my willpower to not buy them!

Actually, it was the fact that there are two mallard ducklings in my brooder right now.

Good thing, because I have no willpower.

Ha! That would take quite a lot of willpower. Somewhat glad I don't know this MPC cart availability trick, lol. I already want more chicks and our flock isn't even integrated yet. Will probably wait until next spring. I know I will be tempted with shows this fall, but with this bird flu epidemic, best to wait I think.

It's so easy... It's not as if you have go to the MPC and then login and then click on the shopping basket to see every single week...
...oh, yeah... That's exactly what you have to do. And I do it daily.

I do have a problem.

Yay! How exciting!  :jumpy   What did you order?

I ordered GLW, EEs, Barnvelders (3 each), and splurged on two cream legbars. They're going to be my first chicks. Just called the post offices and they said I'll receive a call as soon as they're in and can go pick them up. Just don't know which office they'll end up in. The closest one said they'd be delivered there though. But I had a coworker who's order was delivered to the office about 30 minutes from him so who knows. As long as they're healthy.

Oooh! Sounds lovely! I've added a Barnevelder to my 2016 want list (maybe if I keep saying 2016, I can actually wait until then). I just want to see the pretty brown eggs and compare them with my BCM's eggs. :)

Don't be afraid to ask both Post Offices for their phone number and ask when their Express trucks arrive. That way you can call on the right day/time (which is always sooner than they call you). But that's because I'm impatient. :)

Awww, that's no fun! ;) But duckies are just about as cute as mini-Frou-Frous. (Don't tell her that. )

I must have incredible willpower. I almost never bring home anything unless planned for months in advance. Okay, I said almost never. Luckily for me, Meyer is sold out of everything I want at the times it would be most convenient for me to get them...
