Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Everyone's babies are so adorable!
Our duckies have already doubled in size after only one week.

This was their first adventure outside. Naturally they thought it was wonderful! The blue swedish is named Ornery (her attitude). One of the Buffs is named Bubbles, she loves to put her bill in the water container and blow bubbles out of her nostrils and one is named Camper because she plops down for a lay no matter where she is or what she is doing. DH hasn't named the last buff yet, still waiting to see her behaviors before he names her. The Buffs are pretty impossible to tell apart at this point so we are marking them.

pipdzipdnreadytogo: Wow the coloring and patterns are beautiful, nice hens!

TipihlowLadies: How many EE's did you get? I bet you'll have a variety of colors with all those. They are so much fun, since you never know what they'll look like when they are older.
I ordered 25 and got 26 all healthy . Also got 15 Buff's and 50 Jumbo Cornish Rocks

They are adorable!!!!

The Howards: Cute ducks! I'd love to have some too, but I guess I have to stick with chickens right now.

TipihlowLadies: Wow, that's a lot of EE's! I am limited to just 20 birds, so I will end up with a variety pack. If I had more space and land I would be ordering so much more. It will be so neat to see the various colors you end up with.

There getting so big, do they still fit under the heater? Cute pics. Which breed is that last chick?
They do seem to fit under the heater fine but I raised one end with a little piece of wood. So it's lower on one end for Sweet Pea and a few other small chicks and higher at the other end. They rarely use the heater during the day and I don't keep my house warm at all. They just seem to move in and out all day long and just stay under for little naps. I think they huddle under there at night when I turn out the lights but some are only half way under by their own choice- it seems.

The last one is a Buff Brahma. I have 2 of them and the one pictured above (Stella and the other is Carmella) is feathered out much more than the other one. They are my favorite as far as looks go. My BA and BR always jump in my hand first when I put it in there with food.

Oh Nancy, your babies are adorable!!!
Thanks! I can just watch them all day long. They are so much fun!!
I guess I wasn't noticing that they were getting to the 'funny looking teenage stage' because they're my own but when I sent the pic to my son at college he said they
looked like vultures! I guess the 'mom' never notices they are funny looking. Faces only a mother could love right?
