The mystery bird is the Meyer Meal Maker. It is a free chicken that they give you (if you order it) all they ask is that you donate either the eggs or the bird. It is their way of helping you give back to your community/family in need. We give a lot of eggs away anyways so she will add to that. I absolutely LOVE the blue cochin, she is so pudgy lookin...They are so adorable! I love the Blue Cochin. I really hope I get a mystery bird in my order. My mom helped me order them, and neither of us can remember ever getting the option for a mystery bird. I guess we'll find out in 2 weeks!
X2yayyyyy!!!!!!!
Isn't the wait horrible?! She is almost identical to the other golden buffs but she has dark coloring on her beak, plus the Buffs have little feathers already developing on their wings- she doesn't. What ever she turns out to be will be alright with me. I kinda figured she may be another buff but since they can change so much from their baby down to the feathers I will just have to wait and see. The Buckeye is closer in coloring to our "red sex-link" when she was a chick....but as you say they vary. The Howards, they're adorable!Makes me even more excited for my babies! Just 19 days to go!![]()

Was that last chick on your order or an extra chick for warmth? What color are its wing tips? It could possibly be another 'Golden Buff', AKA red sexlink. I don't think any two of the red sexlinks I've raised looked alike as chicks. The color can vary quite a bit.
Thanks, that is around the same time last year we got our first group from Meyer.Awesome pictures and adorable babies!!!! Love them! I have 1 more month until my 6 little ones come, hatch date is 5/20!
so cute!
Can't wait to see... I've never seen any!I will post some pics of the bearded NN's when they dry and get strong enough for the photo session.
