Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Only 10 days for me! I just set up my brooder yesterday. I keep going in the garage and looking everything over to make sure I'm ready. I'm so excited!!

So excited! I've had the brooder set up since February, so I'm just running around like a madwoman without anything to do to prepare!

So excited for everyone's new chicks to arrive!!!

I think Mrs. Puff is a girl. Her comb is quite small at this point and her pattern is even, not patchy. The rest of your EEs are girls. All girly patterns.

I have no experience with Brahmas, but I think Stella might be a boy.

And I'm actually leaning toward boy on Pipsqueak, too... My Biddy-bird was smaller than the others at that age, but she was fully feathered in by then.

The rest look like girls, though!

I keep thinking that about Pipsqueak too... that would be ironic that I worked so hard to keep her alive when she was young and she turns out to be a he. Oh well
I really think Stella is a boy too. Just too big a comb at this point and since I have another to compare it to, he/she is so different. I'm hoping Mrs. Puff is a girl because
I'm so curious what she will look like full grown. I can't find any pics on this site that look like her. She had big puffy cheeks as a chick so I'm hoping she gets it back soon.
Glad the rest look like girls!

They are so pretty!!! I have never had EE's and this is just my guess. From what it looks like I think Mrs Puff is a girl, and Stella looks like he/she may be a boy. Like I said, I've never had EE's before, so I'm not positive.
Thanks... I agree with Stella prediction.

My chicks are doing great!! I absolutely love watching them; they are so entertaining! They are now coming in and out of the coop at will and have adjusted well. I have some new outdoor photos and please, don't laugh when you see Sweet Pea/Pipsqueak. She gets the 'goofy award' for sure.
Also, feel free to let me know if you see any cockerels. I have two in question!

7 weeks old:

EE Mrs/Mr. Puff is in question:

2 Buff Brahmas:
Carmella is first, I think pullet:

And this is the one in question: Stella:
AND I just noticed a crossbeak the other day :(
her comb is much larger than Carmella and a little pink

Here are a few more:

Group shot

EE: Izzy

My bearded EE: BeeBee

BA: Mamie

Yes, you guessed it: Pipsqueak... (keep in mind, she is 7 weeks old!)

Junior my Cuckoo Marans and my 'odd duck' she's a cutie pie!
I took this photo as she was sitting on my back!

My EE: Cleopatra

BeeBee again

Moe my White Cochin

Cleo again, the EE: She was the first out of the box when
they arrived in the mail and first out of the coop!

Ok sorry, that was more than a few.

Hopefully my EE's look like girls. Any ideas?
I was wondering about Izzy, is she getting red in her chest area the pic looks like she has some splotches of red?

Carmella is beautiful, they are all such pretty birds hopefully they're still all pullets. You should be able to tell a lot better in a couple more weeks, watch for the red on the EE"s. Your CW still looks like mine just a week or two behind in the feathering. Have you tried giving a little scrambled egg to up their protein for more feather development? Seemed to help mine. Looks like the SW could use some.

Carmella makes me want a Buff Brahma so bad. I did not realize cuckoo marans looked so much like barred rocks.

My meyer chicks are supposed to hatch May 14. I am already getting anxious! I ordered
White Jersey Giant Female 1
Black Sumatra Male 1
German Spitzhauben (Appenzeller) Male 1
Light Brahma Female 1
Light Brahma Male 1
German Spitzhauben (Appenzeller) Female 2
White Cochin Standard Female 2
Black Sumatra Female 2
Columbian Wyandotte Females 4

The sumatras and the appenzellera I've never had before. I was somewhat put off by their picture of the white cochin, but I wanted a white one and saw some pictures (here) that were much better, so I ordered just one.
Great assortment!!! I agree with the White Cochin pic. I kept thinking the photo was of a younger, not full grown hen. Same with the Buff Brahma but I know nothing about chickens so I just ordered anyway. I think the pics I see people posting from Meyer are much better looking than the one on their site.

Almost here!!!

And I never thought of Izzy being a boy but I will watch her now!
I think I posted the same time as you, so if my last post sounds weird that is why. I am so excited, everyone else in my family will be once they get here, they just don't quite understand all the excitement before hand. As soon as they get here though, they are just as bad as me. I guess I am being like a new mom preparing everything before hand and making sure all is perfect.

Oh and hopefully the puffy cheeks will come back, Haddie got hers early, but Maddie really just started showing hers the past couple of weeks. Mrs. Puff will look so adorable with them, I wish I got a white one too.

Izzy does have a bit of brown/red on the chest but it is even. Her shoulders don't have any red/brown but you certainly never know!!
Carmella wins my 'prettiest face' award! I think she is so girly and pretty too!!
I do give eggs to them almost every day. I tried yogurt but they didn't like it. I give them grapes, lettuce, weeds, and berries. Any other suggestions? I was going to try to sprout some things soon. That has a lot of protein.
The only way I can tell the CM and BR apart is by the color of the legs. They're both pretty friendly too but my CM is more interested in people.

I think we did it again!!
Yup, you're 'nesting'!!!
