Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Here are the pictures that I took yesterday. They were out in their new outdoor cage that I spent 5 hours making for them. It is made of cattle fence, zip ties and chicken wire. I used to put them in two large dog crates with the trays pulled out so they had access to the grass, but they quickly outgrew those and needed something bigger.

Sorry for the picture overload.

NEVER picture overload!!! How old are they now? So cute and I love the chicken cage, well done! I'm going to have to make me one of those especially if I add new chicks to my flock in later years and just plunk it in the big run. Smaller one of course but that is perfect.

Thanks! It was just something that I came up with after looking at all of the cut up cattle fencing we had lying all over the place after we made our new coop. It works perfectly though!

My girls will be 10 weeks old on Sunday. Can't believe it!

I received my 15 female brown egg layer assortment from Meyer Hatchery this morning!!!! The post office called me at 5:45 AM and i had them picked up before 6:30! They are all alive, but one of them seems weak and is having a hard time standing up. The rest are very lively, perky and cheeping LOUDLY!

So cute!! One of our Black Australorps from Meyer arrived weak too. Sadly after 10 hours of care and nourishment she passed away. We think she may have had Wry Neck.

What breeds do ya'll think these are?
These are the more cream-ish ones, I got 6 of them:

These are the more reddish ones, I got 6 of them:

And the black ones, I got 4 of them:

The Black ones look like Black Australorps and the Cream colored ones I think are White Leghorns. The others might be Red Sex Links, but I'm not sure.

To Wonderwinpower: Soooo cute!

The light ones won't be Leghorns since it is a Brown layer assortment. Maybe White rocks, BOs or Delawares. Are they white or light yellow?

The reddish ones may be gold/red sex links but I would wait to see what they wing feathers look like. I originally thought I had 3 GSLs but now 2 are starting to feather out like New Hampshires.

Isn't it fun playing the guessing game?

Great pictures everyone of the new chicks and the 10 week old chicks!

I am up to 14 chicks and my husband still keeps talking about turkeys and meat birds, so we may add more if those are available. I think you have to order several turkeys, so if we cannot order just 1 or 2, we won't be getting them.

I am now getting a Welsummer, a Cuckoo Maran, a Golden Lakenvelder and a Columbian Wyandotte!

I am happy I can get some of the ones that I had before, plus a couple I had on my wish list.
