Well, they are in their own fenced-off area of the coop, so kind of yes. Ah, I'm so going to miss waking up with those little ones. I have to keep reminding myself that they're just a short walk out in the coop.

I hate it when stuff like that happens. Last year the harvested wheat field my coop was in got sprayed with weed killer and I wasn't told so I didn't move the coop, luckily it wasn't windy so there was no drift. I was SO nervous about the safety of my girls until I could see that the sprayer operator left a 20 ft gap between the coop and his first pass.
Actually, my eyes are on the Marans more than anything, maybe an EE... But not this year, next spring. There isn't enough time left in my summer break to start up more chicks.
