Lynn, I could only imagine the dust your gonna have with 16(?) chicks! I have 4 and 2 birds and I go thru the giant box of dusters every week and a half! I also have a question for you, last week when they called you to tell you some of your chicks didn't hatch about what time did they call? I sleep with my phone on silent and on mon I usually don't get up till 9 or so but was wondering if I should get up earlier or turn my phone up in case they try to get ahold of me.
oops, I meant to answer this in my last post.... I received my call after 9am. It came at 9:38am. You may need to call and ask to receive a call before they ship. I complained about my last 2 orders and I think that is why they called me before shipping. I think you can ask to be called if some of your chicks are not available so you can exchange them for others.
I am not sure. I guess you could try to call and see. Yeah before with my other orders I didn't know until I received them and was missing some and then called to ask why. I sure liked it better this time. You think if I call them when I first get up tomorrow it will be to late? I'd call them today but its sun so they aren't open. So before when some of your chicks didn't hatch you had no idea till they arrived? They could have at least called to give you a heads up! Thanks for your help btw & congrats on the giant egg! How are all the babies doing?
So glad to hear she's doing well on her own. Hopefully she will be completely back to normal soon. This morning Amber was drinking, I saw her peck at some food, and then I saw her try to fluff up and shake! She is also trying to groom her beard! We're pretty confident she'll be ok. She is outside with everyone else full time now. Her wounds look completely scabbed over and looks like the fat and skin is coming back.
She looks so much smaller than her hatch mates with all the missing feathers. Shows you how much of them is fluff. I took a couple pics this morning. I'll post them as soon as I get them off my phone.
Your girls are so pretty!!!!
Maybe you can call today and leave a message and they'll get it in the morning? You think if I call them when I first get up tomorrow it will be to late? I'd call them today but its sun so they aren't open. So before when some of your chicks didn't hatch you had no idea till they arrived? They could have at least called to give you a heads up!
So sorry about the little one you lost. You dog is beautiful and I'm so jealous of your huge coop!
Holy cow that's big! I just weighed the biggest one in my carton and it's 1.8 - that egg must be huge! I'm sure that next egg is just a glitch after that huge one!We got are first HUGE egg yesterday morning from our Easter Egger, 2.7 ounces!
Olivia the EE must be having some female issues, I just went out after hearing the egg call and this was on the ground. Seemed to have no white part, only yolk and the shell was really paper thin. I guess it fell apart coming out. I did not expect an egg from her today after the huge one yesterday. Guess it's a double yolker, but have not cracked it yet.
