I give mine squash seeds too, pumpkin and butternut works well too. I also give them garlic powder sprinkled on their food and I have heard chopped up garlic cloves help too and the ACV with the mother. (Apple Cider Vinegar). The ACV may be more of keeping a healthy gut then for worms though. I have also heard cayenne pepper is helpful too. Apparently they are not affected by the heat from the peppers like we are.It is easy! I just feed it to them anytime we have squash. lol
I don't know how often I do it but we eat quite a bit of squash. I throw all my scraps and the seeds in their run and they gobble it all up. I haven't had any signs of worms from them (they are a little over a year old).
During pumpkin season you can give them a whole half of a pumpkin to enjoy.
One year and 2 days old I finally got 2 green eggs in one day LOL. When I went out for my chicken chores it looked like Izzy was going to lay, or I should say sounded like it because she's a screamer, and then she joined BeeBee in the nest about an hour later. She likes to lay with someone else I think because the Nest Nazi (evil RIR) constantly pecks at her as soon as she tries to go into an empty nest box. Theres safety in numbers where she's concerned. I'm just glad she laid because I was thinking something was wrong with her, like worms even though I never saw any in the poo.
