Double Yuck!!!! I keep a pretty yellow basket hanging from the coop to collect eggs but if there's 4 or less I stick them in my pocket... not anymore. I'll use the basket from now on. The egg down the leg is just gross. Haven't had an adult chicken poop on my yet either thank goodness. That would be the absolute worst!I have been officially initiated into the world of keeping chickens. I cracked an egg in my pocket today and it ran down my leg. We're still trying to finish up the run, so I collected a couple of eggs in my coat pocket and forgot to run them inside before I started working on the run. I reached into my pocket and was wondering why it was so wet. It was a really weird and kind of disgusting to reach in and get egg all over my hand. I was dressed so warm and with so many layers, I didn't even realize it ran down my pants leg too. Yuck!![]()
Can't wait to see it all competed!!!We are so so close to having the run complete. I am hoping to let them out in it tomorrow!!!!![]()
It was 20 degrees here today and with the windchill was 5It is beautiful here today! I let the chickens out while I sat in the sun soaking it up. It felt so good, I didn't want to come back inside!
Just thought I'd check in to see if anyone has received any of Meyer Hatchery's olive eggers? I'd love to see pics to see what their coloration is turning out to be. Also interested if anyone has any of this year's production of blue laced red wyandottes. I have those two plus a silver laced polish coming from Meyer in June!
