You would think living overseas your SIL wouldn't put tomatoes in the fridge. I thought they left everything out and shopped daily. I guess it depends on where she lives.Pretty boy! I have a female named Pepper, she is a BR.
I don't know, I think it would be cool to wake up to hatching chicks climbing off the skelter onto the counter.![]()
Great news!
Somehow, someway guess we all have!![]()
I've had tons of questions about my eggs on the skelter. So far no refusals to take any. I did have one person say they would not get eggs from me if I had a rooster, they're afraid they may crack it open and a chick would fall out.I tried to explain why it would not happen.![]()
I got more complaints about keeping my tomatoes on the counter then in the frig. This was my SIL, she stayed with us for a month and she would always put the tomatoes in the frig. I argued that it is best to store them on the counter and finally gave up and let her put them in the frig. She lives overseas, so I figured I'd keep the piece and not argue. I only see her every 20 years or so.![]()
I loved it when the kids were around 6 years old, great times. We feel like their heroes then, plus we can do no wrong. Much better then when they hit those teenage years!
Yup, best to just give in a few days that cause a ruckus.
I don't know but I love the top pic!! So cute

Thank goodness you found her... what a stinker. I'm so afraid to let my little ones out to free range. I don't have a fence and I'm afraid they'll run away into the woods or the big ones will chase them away.@pipdzipdnreadytogo I love that one of your Ccl's is named Poppy too!
And on the topic of Poppy...Oh my almost had a heart attack last night! I went to close all my girls in for the night, and as I walked in the coop I immediately knew one of the chicks were missing! Upon closer inspection, I realized it was Poppy my CCL :,( I searched for almost 2 hours for her, no luck. I was so upset... I thought for sure an owl or hawk got her.
Then this morning, all ready for the Poppy search party to start again, I walked out the back door toward the coop to let the other girls out annnnnd who walks out nonchalantly from underneath the lilac bush by the coop door? POPPY. I have no idea where she was, must have shacked up in a tree or his away somewhere for the night. I'm so relieved I found her, the little brat! She's grounded! Haha
You can tell she had a long night, she's been taking naps between grazing a lot this morning, but seems fine otherwise
So lucky you get them that fast!! My PO is incredibly slow. My MIL is only 40 minutes away and it still takes 2-3 days to get a letter from her.thanks I love to take pics so there will be more. Right now they appear single combed but when they are little it's hard to tell. I was lucky and all mine arrived alive and healthy but they were only in USPS hands for less than 24 hours
