I DID IT!!!!! I want those jumbo Golden Buff eggsWow, when you put it all down together, you do have a lot of issues there. Eggs are very important, so I completely understand. I say this while I eat a couple of jumbo Golden Buff eggs!
That's awesome though! So jealous and happy for you at the same time! Come on, hit that order button, you can do it!!![]()

Here's what I ordered ... subject to change of course...
1 Easter Egger
1 Rare Marans Collection Females
1 Salmon Faverolle Female
1 Welsummer Female
1 White Leghorn Female
2 Golden Buff Female
Had to throw an EE in there... I feel like I can never have to many of them. I love how they always look so different!!
Delivery week of 9/9
I kept holding out ordering and then the available dates were shrinking and this was the only date left for all that I wanted so I had to do it!
Hopefully it's not a heat wave that week but I guess it's better than a cold??
I thought it was odd that they state delivery between Tues 9/9 and Thursday 9/11... wasn't it always by Wed delivery or did that change?
They are all so expressive. I love the name Bonnie Blue! Just don't let her ride a pony!
Glad you are trying it, sorry that you can't tell if it is making a difference. I hope it will help!!! It sounds like the problems that your girls have had and the feed recall are too much of a coincidence! There has got to be some connection
I agree! Maybe if you could figure out the exact reason for recall, you could fix it. If it is a vitamin thing, it could take a while to see a difference. I'd hate to think it would take until a molt to see a big improvement but at least you would know what is reasonable to expect.
Here's the info on the feed recall...That is "too much of a coincidence." That must be it! What brand of feed were you using?
I'd love to use an organic feed, but we cannot afford the price. We use Dumor layer crumbles from TSC. So far no problems with it. I want to research feed more, but I am afraid what I might find out since we really can't afford to switch to a more expensive one.
If it was your feed, maybe you'll start seeing improvements, I'd keep them on electrolyte water for awhile too. It makes me mad all these recalls on human and animal food. You put your trust and money in something and it almost kills you or your animals. We need more regulations and checks here.

It says it was for Washington and Oregon but I don't trust that info at all and it just seems like it was some sort of vitamin thing going on.
I haven't seen Dumor around here. I've been using the Agway feed. Layer feed and starter/grower for younger ones. But I will have to switch them all to the starter/grower as soon as they are all together in the run.
I agree with the organic, way to expensive and there aren't any mills around here to get it ground fresh. We all just do the best we can do.
