Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Exchequer and Blue Ameraucanas sound like winners! Have you thought about maybe getting a Welsummer instead of a Marans? I doubt the Cuckoos lay that dark, heck the hatchery BCMs probably don't lay that dark. I guess I'm biased as I really want a Wellie and our Marans is loud and bossy, though beautiful. Today it sounded like she was mooing, last week she sounded like she was baaing only in a goose voice...

Amelia and Morgaine hanging out in the run

She only comes close when she thinks I have treats

I think she's going to have a pretty curve in her comb

Hola! Ok so it is blazing here, our temp gauge hit 103 earlier. So I got some better pics of some of the girls and boys in question. Also update- saw big red trying to mount an EE today so we are for sure we have 4 roosters total. Not sure what we will do at this point. Everyone is getting along, big red ( doesn't have a name yet) has good instincts, always positions himself at the front of the coop at night where he can look out a window. He might be the alpha at this point. Anyway, here are some better pics.

I have more pics but don't wanna high jack the thread. So I will stop for now, lol. I might be addicted:D

So Meyer has everything I want two weeks early....I'll be able to trade the white leghorn for the exchequer but will have to trade BCM for cuckoo. What do you guys think? This will also let me add the blue ameraucanas so I'll be getting a refund from the seller I've been talking to for the past few weeks.
Sorry to hear about it not working out with that seller. My exchequer leghorns are very sweet. Even if the ameraucana's are not as great of quality as that beautiful as your rooster of yours putting them with him would give you a great start! The BCM from Meyer from what I've heard are not bad but not great when it gets to dark color. But if you cross the ameraucana rooster over cuckoo I believe you would end up with sex linked olive eggers!!! Ok I'm getting to excited so I will stop now....

Obviously I say order 2 weeks early LOL. I changed mine to a month early and did the same thing. Exchanged my white leghorn for an exchequer... so excited. Mine come in 2 weeks!!!
As someone said (MamaShell I do believe)... they will be more feathered out for winter the earlier you get them. And of course eggs sooner too. And a Blue Ameraucana too!!! Awesome.

I vote for getting early for all the same reasons. I have a friend who got a BCM from meyers & hers lays very dark eggs most of the year. Mine is the mouthiest of the bunch, but still quite sweet. I say get what you want, but don't bet on super dark eggs...

LOVE your pics. Post as many as you want. I like seeing everyone else's chickens. It helps me to learn to spot breeds and of course helps me grow my list for my next order! ;)
thanks and did you see my previous post asking you if you had gotten roo's from Meyer and what their policy was, if you know. If not, I can research on their website.

I have not gotten a roo. But I've only received one order so far, of four girls. It's seems like most people do not have a problem. I'm pretty sure you have to call them and send them a pic of the bird in question. I'm pretty sure they give you credit for it. Not positive though.

I was never supposed to start breeding but sex-linked OE/EEs...OMG! And SBEL with the AM over leghorn. And the AMs themselves. I don't know if I'll sleep tonight or tomorrow night...
